YESILIRMAK GATE WILL BE OPENED

President Talat stated that visits to Erenkoy will be made by minibuses on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays, and the transfer of reasonable quantities of food, water and other supplies of non-military nature will be allowed.

Mentioning the need for some works on the infrastructure for the opening of the gate, Talat said some time is needed for the completion of the work. He added that reciprocal arrangements might be made for daily crossings for ceremonies and rituals to be held in Erenkoy and Guzelyurt.

President Talat said that trust will be built through measures to be taken for securing the implementation of a possible political agreement in Cyprus . Talat also notified that no harm will come from the opening of the Yesilirmak gate and people of the TRNC will gain trust to Greek Cypriots in time.

Talat expressed his hope that the Yesilirmak opening will help strengthen bi-communal relations and contribute to the solution of the Cyprus problem. Referring to the opening of another crossing point at Pirgo region, President said that he approved the demand for the opening of a gate there.

PRESIDENT TALAT: “GATE SHALL BE READY IN 3-5 MONTHS”

President Mehmet Ali Talat visited Yesilirmak and informed the citizens about the opening of the crossing point in the village.

President Mehmet Ali Talat told the villagers that with the decision to proceed with the opening of the Yesilirmak Gate isolation over the Erenkoy region shall be removed.

Talat said rules which have been already set for the existing crossing points will also apply to the Yesilirmak Gate.

BRYZA COMING TO CYPRUS

Assistant under-secretary of the US Foreign Ministry Matthew Bryza will visit Cyprus .

Bryza will be received by the TRNC President Mehmet Ali Talat on Monday at 4: 00 pm. According to the Media reports Bryza’s sudden visit is expected to add some more dynamism into the Cyprus negotiations process.

This visit follows the EU Commission’s President Jose Manuel Barroso’s visit to Cyprus and the two leaders’ decision to proceed with the opening of a crossing point at Yesilirmak.

SOYER RE-ELECTED RTP-UF LEADER

Ferdi Sabit Soyer has been re-elected as the leader of the Republican Turkish Party-United Forces (RTP-UF).

RTP-UF held its twenty second general party congress at the Lefkosa Ataturk sports fair grounds, where the party leader Ferdi Sabit Soyer and the Organizations Secretary-General Ozkan Yorgancioglu competed for the leadership of the party yesterday.

While Soyer got 500 votes of the delegates, Yorgancioglu only got 241.

Poche frequenze quelle trovate dalla Rai, poca copertura per una tv nazionale: pubblico e pubblicitĂ  a livello da tv locale. Per una tv nazionale rischio fallimento.

Sarebbe giusto domandare al ministero delle telecomunicazioni quanto è costata adesso questa inutile corsa alle frequenze marginali dati gli scarsi risultati ottenuti.
