THE PROCESS HAS TO BE CONTINUED WITH DECISIVE AND CONSTRUCTIVE STANCE
Presidential Spokesman Hasan Ercakica said that while the Turkish Cypriot side gave its opinion on the legislative issue, Greek Cypriot side explained its views on the attitudes of Turkish Cypriots related to the executive power in the last meeting of the President Mehmet Ali Talat and Greek Cypriot leader Demetris Christofias.
Replying to the question about possible effects of yesterday’s Presidential Elections in the USA on the Cyprus issue, Ercakica said that there is no direct effect. He added that the USA’s attitute towards Cyprus issue is clear and Turkish Cypriots didn’t expect the US position to change with the new President and desired the continuation of US support to a solution.Reminding of Turkey’s EU Progress Report, the Presidential Spokesman pointed out that the Greek Cypriot side was trying to negatively affect the report, but these efforts disrupt the solution process too.Stressing that although Turkey’s progress on the EU membership way faciliates a solution in Cyprus, Erçakica said that those efforts of the Greek Cypriot side in order to affect this report negatively would damage the ongoing negotiations process in Cyprus, too. He also highlighted that the Greek Cypriot side tried to harm Turkey by using the powers improperly gained from the EU on behalf of the whole Cyprus island.
FILM PREPARED FOR THE PROMOTION OF TRNC

It was stated that Ministry of Economy and Tourism prepared promotional films in order to promote tourism and historical and cultural heritages of the TRNC abroad in cooperation with Bayrak Radio Television Corporation (BRTK).

6 promotional films which have been prepared as 30 second, 1, 5 and 10 minutes music videos and 20 and 30 minutes documentaries shall be depicted in London World Tourism Fair which shall be realized during 10-13 November in London .
