HRISI AVGI RE-APPEARS

Greek Cypriot press wrote that Greek Cypriot Tasos Isak and Solomos Solomu, who lost their lives during the incidents in Derinya in 1996, were remembered with some of eventful activities arranged in South Cyprus .

In the news with the heading of “Defamation and Hoots”, Politis Newspaper published that the members of right-wing extremist Hrisi Avgi (Golden Dawn) Organization, who participated to the memorial ceremony of Isak and Solomu realized yesterday in Paralimni, insulted and hooted the Greek Cypriot member of parliaments.

The newspaper wrote that even though 12 years have passed since Isak and Solomu had died, the members of Hrisi Avgi insulted and hooted the members of parliament of AKEL and DISI during the wreath – laying ceremony by the members of some student organizations and some motorcyclists in Paralimni.

VISIT TO MARTYRS FAMILIES UNION FROM SOUTH CYPRUS

Film producer Anna Tsiarta and cameraman Haris Haralambos from South Cyprus visited Martyrs Families and War Veterans Union.

Some of the martyr’s families also participated in the visit.

According to the written statement of the Union , Anna Tsiarta received information from the Head of the Union Ertan Ersan and mentioned that only two years ago she learned that there were missing persons from the Turkish Side also.

Ersan stated that Tsiarta and Haralambos stated that they would love to come and have more detailed information soon.
