MURPHY: ‘WE FOCUSED ALL OF OUR ENERGY TO A SOLUTION... WE DO NOT CONSIDER ANY FAILURE’
It was stated that Jim Murphy, the Minister Responsible for the UK European Affairs said that they support the unification of Cyprus not the division of Cyprus . Murphy said ‘we intensified all of our energy to the solution of Cyprus problem. We do not consider any failure. We do not have any B or C plan’. Moreover, Murphy added that President Mehmet Ali Talat should be invited to the UK after the Greek Cypriot leader Christofias.
NAMİ: “WEEK OF 7 APRIL IS OUR TARGET”
Mr.Ozdil Nami – TRNC President’s Special Representative for Negotiations with the UN and the EU – stated that they have taken the week of 7 April as the target for establishing working groups and technical committees and for starting the studies.
Nami pointed out that the working groups, that would discuss the primary matters and compendious subjects of the Cyprus issue, would put forth an effort for making the position of both two sides closer, however the main negotiation would be between the leaders and the leaders would finalize the subjects. Nami evaluated the stage reached in the works implemented by the representatives of two leaders during the new process began on Cyprus issue, and stated that the meetings with Yorgos Yakovu – the Presidency Commissioner of Greek Cypriot Administration – were conducted in a positive atmosphere.
Pointing out that there was not any pre-condition for establishing and starting all committees and groups at the same time, Nami said “Those which are ready will start. Our target is to start all of them as soon as possible. The workings will be implemented with this understanding.” Nami said “The parties are independent for placing the required subjects on the agenda. We will not limit each other.” Stating that the experts of the subjects would start the workings mutually and they would put the agreed subjects into practice at once, Nami said “Points decided will be implemented at once”.
INTENSIVE WORKS AT THE LOKMACI BARRICADE
Lefkoşa Turkish Municipality teams started the works for infrastructure and strengthening the buildings around Lokmacı Barricade yesterday approximately at 15.00. After de-mining of the area by the United Nations Peace Forces the amendment works shall start as the final phase of the opening of the gate. Mayor of the Lefkoşa Turkish Municipality Cemal Bulutoğluları stated that the teams of municipality are working on the north part of the barricade and it will be finalised in 3 days time.
EP SOCIALIST GROUP IN CYPRUS
A delegation from the European Parliament Socialist Group is coming to Cyprus for making contacts at two sides. The Socialist Group will meet with President Mehmet Ali Talat at 16.30 and will pay a visit to the Republican Turkish Party at 17.00.

intanto vediamo se e come christofias mantiene la promessa, dopotutto resta comunista ;) poi, eventualmente, ringrazio l'ospitalita' e saggezza dei turco ciprioti che conosco, gli altri ancora si devono manifestare per qual che sono.
