TWO LEADERS MET AGAIN YESTERDAY
President Mehmet Ali Talat and the Greek Cypriot leader Demetris Christofias met yesterday to continue talks aimed at finding a solution to the Cyprus Problem.
The two leaders held a tete-a-tete meeting which lasted for about half an hour.
Subsequently, the relations between a federal government and constituent states and deadlock resolving mechanisms were discussed at yesterday’s meeting.
Speaking after the meeting, the UN Chief’s Special Envoy Advisor for Cyprus Alexander Downer said the Leaders will continue to discuss these issues again on Friday at 8.30 am.
He also stated that discussions on governance and power sharing will be held for the last time on Friday.
Following the Friday’s meeting the leaders will start to discuss the property issue.
