MEETING BETWEEN TALAT AND HRISTOFIAS IS ON 1st OF JULY

President Talat and Greek Cypriot Administration Leader Dimitris Hristofias are coming together on next Tuesday at 11.00. The meeting will take place in the office of the UN Secretary General's special representative in Cyprus Taye-Brook Zerihoun.


GAGAUZYA WILL OPEN A CONSULATE IN TRNC

President of Gagauzya Autonomous Republic Mikhail Makarovich Formuzal stated that they will open a consulate in Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus . Also Formuzal stated that today he will meet Prime Minister Ferdi Sabit Soyer and will give this good news to him and they will work in cooperation for this consulate.

Formuzal pointed out that Nicolai Vornikov who is graduated from International Relations Department of Near East University will be appointed as a consulate of Gagauzya Autonomous Republic to TRNC in following days and hopefully they will do the opening together with Prime Minister Ferdi Sabit Soyer.


SPANISH EMBARGOO TO THE TRNC POLICE

Spain implemented embargo to the TRNC police. Participation of the TRNC Police Football team in the Tournament in Barcelona was prevented. Police General Directorate made an statement related to the subject and said it was to be decided by the public opinion how good was a move like this at a period in which Spain foreign Minister was in the island and called for peace to both communities.

GREEK CYPRIOT PRODUCTION CHILD PORNOGRAPHY

Greek Cypriot newspapers wrote that during yesterday meeting of the Greek Assembly Crime Committee, child pornography in the south Cyprus was discussed and ‘shock’ statements were made related to the production of pornographic materials in the south Cyprus. According to the Greek Cypriot press, German police stated to the Greek Cypriot authorities that in a district in the south Cyprus , pornographic materials were produced which showed children while making sex with the animals.

Moreover, it was stated that Greek Cypriot internet provider refused to give customers’ information in the first stage and in the second stage they said that information was deleted when 6 months period was ended so Greek Cypriot police could not investigate the issue.
