China's central gov't department to meet with Dalai's private representative

The Dalai Lama apparently doesn't know anything about this...

BEIJING, April 25 (Xinhua) -- China's central government department will meet with Dalai's private representative in the coming days, Xinhua learned from official sources on Friday.

"In view of the requests repeatedly made by the Dalai side for resuming talks, the relevant department of the central government will have contact and consultation with Dalai's private representative in the coming days," an official said.

"The policy of the central government towards Dalai has been consistent and the door of dialogue has remained open," he said.

"It is hoped that through contact and consultation, the Dalai side will take credible moves to stop activities aimed at splitting China, stop plotting and inciting violence and stop disrupting and sabotaging the Beijing Olympic Games so as to create conditions for talks."

Why is chinese Govt did not sent an offical notice to His Holiness Dalai Lama. This meeting between Dalai lama's representatives and Chinese has been going on for the past 20 years and not fruit ful results has come out. This is CCP's another way to stop the protestors, thousands young men and women, monks and nuns have murdered in the past days. I want to the chinese govt to meet directly with Dalai lama not the representatives. You can't trust anything coming out from CCP leaders, they only lie and kill people,

It is great if the Chinese officials are sincere, but I seriously doubt it. His Holiness and the Tibetan exile government has engaged for series of dialogues with the Chinese officials for last several years, but ended with no achievement.

I hope the Chinese officials realize that His Holiness is the only person who has the power to put Tibet part of China. His Holiness equally cares about the well being of the Chinese and the Tibetans. The Chinese government is still engaging a serious campaign to against the His Holiness in Tibet especially in the monasteries at present.

I am very sceptical about the sincerity of the Chinese government and not very optimistic in term of progress.

After His Holiness passed away the Tibet issue will never solve without bloodshed. The fight is going on through generation to generation until the Tibetans regain their independent.

When I first read the news, I felt so happy and so much was the excitement that I couldnt help calling my family to share my excitement. Though at the back of my mind I still have some reservations so unless the dialogue really happens its hard to say anything. The crux lies in the date, time and the persons leading the dialogue and unfortunately its not known right now.

I really hope for a meaningful dialogue and that gonna happen only if there is a dialogue btw HHDL and Hu Jintao in the presence of a third party or else I doubt about the outcome as we already had 6 rounds of namesake meetings and the conditions deteriorated with each round of meetings with the downfall in the Chinese representatives that shows how lightly the Chinese government took the whole dialogue issue.
Last word, this time we must not let the Chinese government fool us by any means so we have to take a firm stand n convey our message across the table. The sacrifice and the sufferings of our ppl must not go waste. We must also lay down ground for talks like Chinese government did.
